Why I Chose My Pen Name

From there, I asked a few friends if I should drop my full name to just an "A" to keep my name gender neutral and it just sounded nicer. en names, it was hard to think of something that flowed well together, like J.K. Rowling or Dr. Suess. I also alwasy had my first name on all my social media and didn't want to change it drastically.

So then, I thought about my real name. But my real name is a super common name. I litereally went through my whole school career with a girl with the exact same first, middle and last name as me. The principle once called my house because she was skipping school and I had to explain that I was there the whole time. So no real name.

Then, I thought about my soon-to-be married name. But then I thought that it might be a little hard to pronounce. The idea then popped into my head. Why not my mother's maiden name? It's Unique, it's French and it's a name i keep close to my heart. It is also a little crazy to think that I will never have my family name again. So it's a little homage to that as well.

So there you have it! My pen name.
