It's been over a year since The Inevitables came out. It's still kind of surreal. You know that burst of inspiration I wrote about last? It fell through. I lost the inspiration once I found a new job and it has been BUSY. But last week, I listened to a song that I hadn't heard in a while and a whole new book came back.
I was originally working on my senior capstone book, but I am just not completely into it right now. Maybe one day, but it's not the year. And this new book that I'm working on is going to be good, I can feel it.
I'm going to be participating in the NaNoWriMo challenge in November, so I'm excited for that! If you haven't heard of NaNoWriMo, it's a month dedicated to writing 30,000 words in one month without editing. Editing comes later, but the goal is to write down everything. I participated in this month when I wrote my first book. It's a great community filled with write-ins, webinars and a chance to get really good feedback.
But I'll be posting more on this website during that time of the whole process as I do it all over again. Right now, I am getting ahead by writing and this time using traditional pen and paper, mainly because it's easier to carry to work everyday, but I'm excited to start NaNoWriMo and if you would like to join me, let me know!
